How do I build a pigeon loft/platform?
I have recently started bird feeding. I have about 8 to 10 pigeons visiting my terrace every morning. I do not plan to captivate them and keep them in a coop or any closed door setup. At the moment, I am using two clay plates to feed them grains and water. I want to build an ‘above the ground’ loft or a platform for them.
Need suggestions about how to build one and/or tips about pigeon feeding.

Just put up a platform of any sort, they’ll love it. Pigeons eat just about every small seed known. Corn (maize), lentils (pulse), rice, peas, wheat, milo, buckwheat (especially in cold weather), safflower, etc.
If you REALLY want to be helpful to them, what most feral birds are short of is salts. If you have access to a feed store, then it’d be great if at least once a week or so, you gave them some pigeon grit. They will devour it and the oyster shell that’s also in it.
While I love pigeons, I must warn you that pigeons are flock birds. They follow one another to a source of food. So 8-10 pigeons may well turn into 20-30 pigeons which can turn into 60-80 birds flying to your terrace. That can become overwhelming if you’re not careful.
